I spent months working on the ten tracks that make up this album. Originally the idea came after watching the anime Children of the Whales, to create a sonic equivalent of the visual landscapes depicted in the animation.

As the recording and production moved forward, I ended up watching a second anime, Magi, which influenced some of the production aspects. It was also the reason for adding the aboriginal flute to the first track.

Overall the sonic theme of the album is more centred around a soundscape, often with a common beat holding down the foundation of the track. Each track can vary from very intense to very subtle and I'm especially proud of the stereo imaging work that came out of this recording process.

It's definitely not all easy listening, but I hope you enjoy all the same.
